Eva Hnátková

Speciality

Since 2020, I have been working as an Open Science Coordinator at the National Library of Technology, and I can be helpful with everything related to it. Open Science is the new way of conducting research by opening up access to research data and results via new digital technologies and collaborative tools. Open Science is essentially an umbrella term for various practices such as Open Access, Open FAIR/Data, Open Methodology, Open Source, Open Peer Review, Open Education, Alternative Metrics and Citizen Science. I am also involved in organization of the Knowledge Research Education Conferences (KRECon), Falling Walls and other activities. As an Open Science Coordinator, I would like to promote and develop an Open Science in the Czech Republic as well as boost the career of early-career researchers.

My experience

For many years, I have been active in the area of doctoral education, especially focusing on and representing doctoral candidates at the local, national and international level. I am the former President of the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc). On behalf of Eurodoc, I have been a member of the Advisory Board in the European projects H2020-MSCA-ITN SAF21, Edulia and SwafS project DocEnhance. I obtained my PhD in Process Engineering at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic. I have six-year experience as a junior researcher at the Centre of Polymer Systems and also as an assistant at Technology Transfer Centre.
