Support for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Besides providing access to a wide range of resources, we also offer services for the development of skills to use them. Undergraduate and graduate students mainly come to us with issues connected to their theses, but we would be glad to help you with other writing projects such as essays or articles.

We can assist you with:

  • Finding information for your thesis or project (academic resources and specialized databases such as IEEE or Web of Science, norms, statistics), using library search engines, and other search tools such as Google and Google Scholar.
  • Working with information when writing, including proper referencing and the structure of an academic text (thesis).
  • Getting organized for writing projects (e.g., using citation management tools such as Zotero).
  • Using LaTeX to format manuscripts containing mathematical equations and notations.

Webinars and Consultations

We provide regularly-scheduled and customized instruction on advanced searching, citing, and communicating research in English. Follow up our up-to-date webinar schedule

We will be happy to meet you for one-to-one consultations. Consultations typically last an hour, are open to all (not just library patrons), and there is no fee.

Both webinars and consultations are free of charge and open for everyone; NTK registration is not required.

We encourage university instructors to contact us with requests regarding tailored-made workshops for their students and mentees (e.g. searching academic information, using subject specific databases, and citing properly).

Access to Scientific Resources

NTK provides access to a wide array of scientific articles, eBooks, and other resources. Use the NTK Discovery tool or turn on NTK Library Links in Google Scholar.

We encourage you to use our document delivery services and to suggest the purchase of a specific book, journal, or database that is not part of our collection.
